What services do SoCityUK provide?
SoCityUK is a child model and talent agency that offers a range of services, including:
Talent representation for child models and performers.
Organising and managing auditions, bookings, and job opportunities.
Assistance with obtaining child performance licences and ensuring legal compliance.
Scouting and developing talent for the modelling and entertainment industries.
How do I register my child with SoCityUK?
To register your child with SoCityUK, simply visit our website and fill out the registration form with accurate details about your child. You will be asked to upload some photographs and basic information, and a member of our team will contact you to discuss the next steps. You must be the child's legal parent or guardian to register.
Are there any fees to register with SoCityUK?
There is no fee to register your child with SoCityUK. However, we charge a commission on successful bookings:
25% commission for modelling jobs.
35% commission for talent/acting jobs.
After one year of representation, if we mutually agree to renew your child’s representation with SoCityUK, we charge a small £50 renewal fee to help cover the costs of updating your child's profile, including new photos, contact details, and other relevant information. This ensures that their profile remains current and competitive in the industry. The renewal fee also supports ongoing administrative work and continued talent management, helping us to maintain a high level of service and provide consistent opportunities. This fee is essential for keeping your child's representation active and up-to-date, ensuring they stay visible and accessible to potential clients and casting agents.
How does SoCityUK find job opportunities for my child?
We work with casting agents, modelling agencies, and entertainment industry professionals who contact us with available opportunities for child models and performers. We submit your child's profile for suitable roles and auditions based on their experience, interests, and suitability for the job.
Does SoCityUK guarantee bookings or jobs for my child?
While we work hard to provide job opportunities, we cannot guarantee that your child will be selected for every casting or role. Job opportunities are ultimately decided by the casting agents and clients, based on their specific needs.
How do you ensure the safety and well-being of children on job assignments?
The safety and well-being of the children we represent are our top priority. We ensure that all engagements comply with UK child labour laws, including obtaining performance licences when required. Parents or guardians must always accompany their child to job assignments, and we ensure that any work environment meets legal and ethical standards for child welfare.
What is the process for obtaining child performance licences?
SoCityUK will assist in obtaining the necessary child performance licences required by law for each job. The parent or guardian must provide the required documents, such as the child’s birth certificate, proof of school attendance, and any other information requested by the relevant local authority.
How much will my child be paid for a job?
Payment rates vary depending on the specific job, the client, and the scope of the work. We will always provide you with a clear breakdown of payment terms and ensure that payment is made promptly after the completion of the job. Our commission will be deducted from the payment as agreed.
How do I get paid for my child’s work?
Once a job is completed, payment is made directly to SoCityUK by the client. After deducting our agreed-upon commission, we will pay the remaining amount to the parent or guardian by bank transfer to an account which is in the child’s name.
Can my child participate in other agencies or work independently?
If your child is already represented by another agency, we ask that you notify us. Our agency typically works on an exclusive basis for modelling representation, meaning we handle all bookings and casting opportunities. If you wish to terminate our agreement, you can do so with proper notice, as per the terms of our contract.
How long will it take for my child to get a job?
The time it takes to secure a job for your child can vary. Some children may receive opportunities quickly, while others may take longer depending on the demand for their look, experience, and type of work. Rest assured, we work actively to find suitable opportunities for every child we represent.
What happens if my child’s availability changes?
If your child’s availability changes, please inform us as soon as possible so we can update their profile and adjust any upcoming casting opportunities. We want to make sure we always represent your child's availability accurately.
How can I update my child’s details on the SoCityUK website?
If there are any changes to your child’s personal details, photographs, or other information, simply contact us, and we will update their profile accordingly. You can reach us by email or phone, and we will ensure that their information is kept current.
